Web Designer / Developer Job Description
The candidate chosen for the Web Developer / Designer position will work alongside the rest of the team to design and develop sites and their components for clients. While the core responsibility of this position is in the technical scope of work other tasks will be expected as well. Since we’re a startup tech firm, every day is fun and different. For instance, we specialize in SEO/M (Search Engine Optimization/Marketing) — so you’ll be learning all about that too.
Your main role will be working with client websites to:
- Install/configure forms
- Convert static HTML sites into dynamic CMS-driven sites (primarily WordPress)
- Making landing page templates/layouts
- Installing/configuring tracking and/or split testing scripts
- Helping our marketing team with the technical side of website development.
You’ll get exposure to all types of clients & industries. The main thing about the job is that you’ll have to be flexible and adaptable, able to learn new stuff quickly.
You will have the decision to work remotely sometimes because almost everything we do is web-based. You can work from home, the Starbucks, Barnes & Noble, or Puerto Rico or anywhere that you have access to the internet.
Pretty much everything web is trending right now and companies are spending tons of money to get “optimized” http://tinyurl.com/llx4ay. You definitely won’t learn this stuff in school. The only way to learn it is to teach yourself through reading, research, practice, to attend expensive seminars, or to get hired by a company like us.

- HTML
- CSS
- PHP
- WordPress
- Graphic design

Experience with Content Management Systems and Database Management is a huge plus. If you know WordPress and have used it/are using it currently, two thumbs up.
