Derek joined the WebMechanix team in the Fall of 2010 after graduating from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA with a degree in Web Development. He enjoys developing applications from the ground up and looking into why things work.

As a full time developer at WebMechanix he works day to day with web technologies such as PHP/MySQL, Javascript, HTML/CSS and is quickly becoming a WordPress mastermind.

In his spare time apart from tinkering around on the web he enjoys music specifically playing the guitar, watching Pittsburgh sports and taking road trips.
